TRANSGENERATIONAL DESIGN: The practice of making products and environments compatible with those physical and sensory impairments
associated with human aging and which limit major activities of daily living.

Shouldn't all homes be "transgenerational"?

From the car, through the house, to the courtyard and back. Not a stair nor a step, not a bend nor a reach. Accommodating people of all ages and abilities, this sleek, stylish, and livable house features flat thresholds, pull-out kitchen storage, easy-to-reach-and-clean appliances, a dockable kitchen trolley, adjustable-height vanitiesroll-in showers, and so much more.

Transgenerational Accommodation

Every eight seconds another former youth turns 50, fueling the world's swelling elder population — a number larger than the entire populations of Russia, Japan, France, Germany, and Australia, combined.

We're at the threshold of a new design era that acknowledges and addresses the older population's search for environmental equality. A ground swell of demand for intelligent human-centered design is being heard throughout the world, and it's signaling the end of descrimination by design.

Accommodating this exploding market demands a new mind-set, and a revised set of values and essential criteria. We can help ensure that your product line can achieve a full range of innovative "transgenerational" accommodation and desirability.
